Coding & Game Design 🎮 (Rising 3–5) Get ready to design, build, and play! In Coding & Game Design Studio, students will step into the role of game creators as they learn the fundamentals of coding while building their very own video game from start to finish. Using kid-friendly, visual coding tools, campers will explore how games work by creating characters, designing worlds, and programming movement, rules, and goals. Throughout the week, campers will work on a single game project that they build and improve each day. They’ll learn core coding concepts such as sequencing, loops, events, and conditionals while experimenting with game mechanics like scoring, challenges, and win or lose conditions. With plenty of time for creativity, testing, and iteration, students will practice problem-solving and debugging in a supportive, collaborative environment. The week will culminate in a fun arcade-style showcase where campers share and play each other’s games. Perfect for creative thinkers who love games, puzzles, and making things happen on screen no prior coding experience required!
