Participants must be entering grades 3 to 6.
Calling all Culinary Artists! Join Anne,Gaby and Alyssa for afternoon cooking camp! We will have a special theme each day and broaden your kitchen repertoire. We will be working with
original SFS recipes as we learn knife skills, sautéing, baking quick and yeasted breads. We will practice the techniques of emulsions, folding and natural decorations.
Each day our young cooks will return home with a box of their efforts to share with their family.We will be exploring .
1- Magical Cooking: when our efforts are surprising. Expect one thing and finish with another. Pudding cake, butterfly tea, popovers, timbalo, sweet pizza.
2- Wee Tea Time-fairy cakes, Mini Victoria Sponge, Herbal Tea from a garden
forage, pinwheel sandwiches , scones, lemon curd
3- Birthday Bash- Pizza Bites, Pigs in a blanket, Fresh Fruit Punch, Cupcake Cake
4- All Things Chocolate- Frozen Hot Chocolate, Chicken in a Quick Chocolate Mole Sauce, Fruit and Seed Bark, Greens with Strawberries and Chocolate Balsamic Dressing
5- Gifting/ -Bake Sale- frozen hot chocolate mix, Rice Krispies, brownies, cupcakes, pretzel rods, granola bark
Due to the small class size we cannot accommodate special diets. The fundamentals of kitchen safety and best practices will be reviewed daily. We will discuss
sustainability and economy as we have fun.
